EmerginC Vitality Mask

EmerginC is a brand I’ve always wanted to try, as it’s stocked in a lot of speciality skincare boutiques/salons in Australia (including my favourite online retailer Facial Company).  Their philosophy of combining potent botanicals and cosmeceutical-grade ingredients is especially appealing to me too.

As a part of my job, I got my hands on a few EmerginC products, and thought I’d give some a try.  As a mask fiend – I just had to start of with the Vitality Mask icon biggrin EmerginC Vitality Mask

What they say:

A rich, buttery, creamy mask with coenzyme Q10 and alpha-lipoic acid that soothes, hydrates, nourishes.  Suits all skin types, but excellent for red, sensitive, dry, tired skin.

My experience:

EmerginC is packaged in very simple packaging – generally acrylic jars with metallic printed paperboard box.  Not very visually appealing, but if the product works, then that’s all good to me!

Jars are not the most hygienic packaging, but the EmerginC Vitality Mask comes with a little spatula, so you don’t need to dip the fingers in to get the products. EmerginC Vitality MaskThe mask itself is a white creamy emulsion.  I generally use 1.5 spatula of it to cover my whole face, layering it on quite thick to really get a good boost of the antioxidants in the mask. EmerginC Vitality MaskThanks to the kaolin in the mask, it feels silky to the touch and can be easily distributed onto the face, so you can layer it on thinly or thickly.  As it remains soft (doesn’t dry to a hard clay), I can put it on around the lips and a little closer to the eyes as I normally would with other masks. There is no added fragrance whatsoever, as I can pretty much smell the base – a slight fermented, medicinal smell.  It’s very faint and I don’t find it unpleasant at all.

I leave the mask on for a good half an hour, then simply wash it off with water.  The results, I believe, is pretty awesome.

The EmerginC Vitality Mask is like an all-in-one treatment mask, as it not only leaves my skin brighter, softer, but my pores are more refined, my complexion more even in colour and my skin feels more balanced.

What impressed me more is that it even has a lifting effect – you can see from the picture above that my nasolabial lines are less prominent, my apples are a bit higher, and my jawlines more defined.  Love it!!!

I’ve also been putting this mask to good use today, as I’ve suffered a bit of an allergy since I stupidly picked my face after coming home from Clear & Brilliant Laser.  The mask is definitely great at soothing the skin, reducing the redness, itchiness and the size of the allergic bumps.

The EmerginC Vitality Mask retails for AUD$65/USD$49 and is available on www.emerginc.com, or Google search for your country’s reputable resellers.
