I wish Taiwan practises Daylight Saving time – right now we’re in the midst of summer, and the sky is fully lit by 6am, and it’s dusk by the time I finish work at 6pm.
On the other hand, I’m loving that white light energy-saving globes can be easily purchased AND are marked as so. I can now take product shots any time in the comfort of my own home.
We have purchased our core essential home items – bed, TV and washing machine! Hoping that from this point on, I won’t have to dip into my savings.
Mr Ronan is over the moon that we have cable TV – finally some English entertainment for him!
My save-and-spend philosophy now involves spending less than NT$450 (AUD$15) for drink/food a day, so I can spend them on the various beauty/cosmetic procedures/products there are on offer.
Being bombarded with super skinny Taiwanese girls everywhere (AND they have long legs too!) is rather depressing. Girls my height on average weighs 10kg less than I do. And my tried-and-true carb free diet is impossible to carry out, with all the delicious noodle and rice meals on offer here.
