I’m a bit (ok, more like a lot) nervous in doing this post, but here goes anyway – my first “fashion” post. This is what I wore to a weekend birthday BBQ (Happy Birthday Briony) and is pretty much my usual non-work wear.
Top: Cotton On – I love monochrome printed T’s that are slightly fitted. I especially love the ones that finish just a few millimetres below the hips as they’re super flattering.
Jeans: Bardot – I adore these skinny jeans. Just the right blue with strategically placed faded creases to slim the hip/upper thigh areas. And just the right length.
Shoes: Hush Puppies. I am in desperate search of similar looking ones as I think mine are about to die of old age. They have medium sized wedge so I can still add height without hurting my back, and the silver goes with my 80% black/grey wardrobe.
Bag: A hand-me-down bag from one of my aunts – I love her bags, and I love her even more for giving them to me (one of the other hand-me-downs from the same aunt is Coach <3).
Sunnies: Ray-Ban Aviators
As usual my hair is half tied back so I don’t have to style it. Makeup is minimal – eyebrows, sunscreen, light foundation and neutral lip colour. Seeing it’s Briony’s Birthday BBQ I also put on some eyeliner & mascara.
I brought a light woollen cardigan (Witchery), which I was thankful for as the unpredictable Melbourne weather turned really cold Saturday late afternoon!
That’s Briony’s new puppy Lola – isn’t she the cutest!???
I would have loved to be able to add some accessories to “zing” up the outfit. That is still something I need to learn how to do
