The Jojoba Company is an all Australian company that produces natural skin and body care products, with a focus on anti-ageing and skin health.
A couple of months ago, I suffered a bout of breakout. Normally I would treat it with my trusty Alpha-H 10% glycolic acid moisturiser, however my breakout was coupled with allergy. My face had patches of roughness, redness, itchiness and congestion – in short, it was not happy.
Luckily, Val brought a bottle of The Jojoba Company Intense Recovery Balm along to one of the MBBE gatherings, which I snatched up as it seemed exactly what I needed.

My Experience:
I’ve always really liked the look of The Jojoba Company’s packaging – solid glass bottles. However it is quite big and heavy, which makes it unsuitable for travelling (even troublesome for short trips).
The texture is a very light lotion, and I usually use 3-4 pumps at a time. I like to be quite liberal with this product, as I find the more I put on, the more effective it is.
As soon as I put it on my face, there is a cooling sensation on my face which I find very soothing. When I had the breakout/allergy, to avoid aggravating my skin I would gently apply a thick layer of it onto my face after cleansing. It calmed the redness and itchiness instantly, and after 2 weeks – it cleared up all my congestions AND allergy! Hooray!!!
Since then I’ve continued to use it 3-4 times a week, and like to pat the product into my face. It’s great for boosting and balancing my skin – definitely a great item to include in everyone’s skincare regime.
The Jojoba Company Intense Recovery (now called Redness Reducing) Balm retails for $39.95 and is available from selected pharmacies, health food stores and online retailers. For stockists see here.
